JOHN STEEPLE – Footbridge at Aber Cywarch near Dinas Mawddwy
I have been lent a reference book listing exhibits at the Royal Society of British Artists.
I find that this painting was exhibited in 1860, the year in which it was created.
ONE CLICK TOO MANY
Unfortunateky, while trying to create a separate sub-category for F*E* TAYLOR, I have managed to lose the details for all the paintings I had already listed.
I hope to re-list them all again soon.
TAYLOR F*E* – Exhibited at the RA in 1908 – A really good selection of unusual landscapes of North Wales with several views in the Betws-y-Coed and Conwy area and some real beauties in the Arthog to Harlech area. They date from the first half of the 20th century.
There are 54 in all, so it will take me a while to list them which I hope to do under a separate section under GALLERY where you will be able to click on any painting to be taken to the detilas for that painting in PAINTINGS DETAILS.

VISIT FROM THE ABERDYFI ART SOCIETY
Mrs Dai and I were delighted to welcome members of The Aberdyfi Art Society to a viewing recently.
They were able to see more than 70 works depicting North Wales, ranging in date from the early 19th Century to the late 20th Century, in a variety of styles and mediums including watercolours, pastels, oils and gouache.
There was keen interest and involvement in a small competition which was won by Mira Dodds.
